Character Picker

Use this character picker when Marvel and DC Super Heroes character select melts your brain. The method is built for the free online Roblox sandbox by hhjhhjhh10 (place 6132958612, up to 60 players, released 2020-12-25). It complements Choose a Character, Heroes Roster, and Villains Roster.

Fast picker (60 seconds)

Answer with the first true statement:

  1. I want hero fantasy tonight → open heroes notes.
  2. I want villain fantasy tonight → open villains notes.
  3. I want flight practice → bias toward aerial names and read How to Fly.
  4. I want simple brawling → bias toward beginner-friendly kits on Beginner Characters.
  5. I want chaos clips → bias toward speedsters or Deadpool-like skirmishers and skim Combat Tips.

Write three surnames/codenames that survive those filters. Stop adding names.

Dice method (no actual dice required)

Assign your three names to 1–2, 3–4, and 5–6. Check the clock seconds digit. Even = first half of a pair, odd = second half. Ridiculous? Yes. Effective against endless scrolling? Also yes.

Theme nights for online friends

  • Street vigilante night — Batman-like kits.
  • Web night — Spider-Man fantasy (passes like Iron Spider Man optional).
  • Speed night — Flash / Future Flash vibes.
  • Mad science night — Doc Ock energy.
  • Sky terror night — Green Goblin dives.
  • Colorway night — everyone buys/equips a loud pass if they already own one (Game Passes).

Meet on the same online server; this is multiplayer co-op style fun, not local-only.

Picker anti-patterns

  • Rerolling every death.
  • Picking only what a random thumbnail crowned S-tier.
  • Waiting for promo codes to “unlock the picker” — there are no reliable verified active codes (Codes).
  • Using executor menus to browse locked fantasies (Scripts).

After the picker locks a name

  1. Spend one full life committed.
  2. Practice movement using Controls Cheatsheet.
  3. Fight in a warm map zone (Map Exploration).
  4. Decide keep / drop with one written reason.
  5. If keeping, compare role fit on PvP Combat or Aerial Mobility.

Weekly shortlist sheet (copy into notes)

  • Comfort: ____
  • Practice: ____
  • Chaos: ____
  • Flight eligible? Y/N
  • Pass owned that matches? Y/N

Hub navigation

Return to Tools Hub for the cheatsheet sibling, or jump to Getting Started if you still need session structure. Official hangout link from the game description: group 8898465.

Remember flight rule while testing aerial candidates: slow double jump on eligible characters only.

Character picker finale: the algorithm that beats Marvel and DC Super Heroes menu paralysis is artificial constraints plus a promise to play the result for three lives on a real online server.

Extended filters for stubborn nights

Add these yes/no toggles when the basic picker still leaves five names:

  • Must work on mobile today?
  • Must support flight drills?
  • Must be villain-coded?
  • Must be recognizable to non-comic friends?

Every yes deletes options. Deletion is the point. You want a decisive queue into an online server, not a perfect scholarly ranking. Tier pages remain available after the session if you want to second-guess with data instead of vibes.

When the shortlist finally locks, tell your friends the three names before character select appears. Social accountability keeps Marvel and DC Super Heroes nights moving.

Group picker mode

When four friends cannot agree, each submits one name privately, then run the dice method once for the squad pick. Losers still play their rolled backup for one life—no spectating from the spawn. Group nights stay faster than letting one indecisive friend reopen Choose a Character for twenty minutes.

Post-pick debrief

After your three lives, write one sentence: what felt good, what felt clumsy, and whether flight timing was the real problem. That note beats reopening tier pages during the same session.

Picker colophon: constraints create playtime; endless browsing creates another tab you never close.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Is this an in-game spinning wheel?

No. It is a wiki decision framework you apply while using the official character select screen.

Can I include pass-only skins in the picker?

Yes, if you already own them. Do not delay learning a free kit just to wait on a purchase.

What if my rolled character feels terrible?

Finish three lives for data, then reroll with a tighter filter. Do not abandon after one chaotic death.
